Experienced and Certified Teachers. All of our teachers are certified as Authentic or Classical Pilates teachers through rigorous training and testing from internationally renowned programs and master teachers.

Teacher Bios

Our teachers are certified through rigorous apprenticeships within internationally recognized teacher-training programs. A teacher of classical Pilates spends at least a year training and testing for certification. We are proud that all our teachers are certified as classical Pilates teachers.

Christl Marcontell

Christl is a 2nd generation teacher, certified in Romana's Pilates by Romana Kryzanowska. She first encountered Pilates as a way to regain core strength for aerial dance after pregnancy. In addition to Pilates she trained and performed contemporary dance and dance theater in Seattle, learning somatic and developmental movement sequences in dance training which she uses in her teaching style.

Scott Miller

Scott completed his Classical Pilates certification at Metropolitan Pilates with Dorothee VandeWalle. Scott has taught Kinesiology and Massage Theory and Practice in WA massage schools since 1995 and he has held board positions on the Washington State Board of Massage and the Federation of Massage Therapy Boards. His hobbies include kayaking, rollerblading, skiing, pickleball, kickboxing, dancing and recently hiking and mountain climbing.

Stephanie Allison

Stephanie is a 2nd generation teacher, certified in Romana's Pilates by Romana Kryzanowska. Over the past 16 years, Stephanie has worked with Mari Winsor at Winsor Pilates in Los Angeles, owned a studio in Madison Park, worked in a small town in Utah and another small college town in Arizona, and nine years teaching Pilates on Oahu, Hawaii in a beach community on Oahu, Hawaii .

Gay Marcontell

Gay is a 2nd-generation teacher, certified in Romana's Pilates by Sari Meijia Santo. She believes that what we put into our bodies is a crucial element of good health, and is the owner of WindShift Nutritional Therapy. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, she finds that the pairing establishes a more complete way to promote a sense of well-being and weight management, generate sustainable energy and create a healing environment within.

Crystal Brooks

Crystal has been teaching/training people in the Pilates Method since 2006 and is passionate about helping people meet their goals and achieve their potential. She was comprehensively certified through the Power Pilates program in New York City. Crystal is skilled at helping people post physical therapy and also teaches at New Motion Physical Therapy on Bainbridge Island.

Jordan Colvard

Jordan is certified in Romana's Pilates at Pilates Seattle International. She is a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. She began practicing Pilates with Michele Miller as cross-training and injury prevention for dance and has been hooked ever since.

"I'm a very goal oriented person and tend to exercise regularly only if I have something specific to work towards like a mountain peak or a race. I got into Pilates because I was looking for a background exercise to "come home to" when I was between physical projects. I have been extremely happy with the results.
