Our Classes

Pilates Classes in Downtown Seattle near Pioneer Square

Class time is your hour to put aside the day’s cares, focus on your body, and renew yourself.

Our Pilates instructors are highly trained and certified to teach private lessons and group classes. We offer Private, Semi-Private, and Mat Classes, as well as Intro Reformer Series and Basic Pilates Circuit Series. Duets are a private class shared by two friends. Mat Classes are all-level and suitable for beginners and advanced.

We specialize in classical Pilates, a complete Pilates circuit with Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Tower and other equipment, and personalized attention.

Private Pilates lessons

Private lessons are terrific for both beginners and those more experienced. There is one instructor and one student. Beginners will make rapid progress learning the Pilates sequence of exercises.  Expect to see and feel quick results in your body! Experienced students will expand their repertoire of exercises, increase cardio benefit through flowing and rhythmic transitions, and gain from meticulous attention to correct alignment.

Duets – a Private Lesson shared by two friends– may also be scheduled.

Call or email us to request an appointment, or use our online scheduler.

Semi-private Pilates lessons

Semi-private lessons are 2 or 3 people working out together with one instructor. Lessons vary from week to week, sometimes emphasizing the Cadillac or Chair or other equipment, other days a "heart and soul" Reformer, and at other times abdominal core muscle groups or upper body strength. Never boring! Many semi-private students have been with Kinesia Pilates for years.

These classes are scheduled throughout the day, Monday through Friday. Check our online scheduler to request an appointment, or email us your available times and we will help you develop a regular schedule that fits your calendar. Semi-Privates are for those with some Pilates experience and can be scheduled with permission of the instructor only; permission is required in order to insure the safety and flow of the class.

Mat classes

Pilates mat classes are effective for physical conditioning and budget friendly. Classes are limited to 7 people. The mat work is done on the floor with no equipment, in a footprint no larger than a bath towel, so it is a practical addition to your home and travel self-care routine.

We limit our Pilates mat class sizes so that we can know each student as an individual. In training we always have in mind your overall goals and health. Learn more about our mat classes.

Introductory Classes and Free 60-Minute Orientation

We offer cost-effective introductory workshops to help you learn the fundamentals, so you can progress to Semi-Privates without having to take private lessons.

Pilates Foundations Classes: Learn how to use the Reformer and other specialized Pilates equipment without taking Private lessons! In this small (one - three person) class you will learn the order of the introductory exercises and the correct technique, how to use the reformer safely, and personal modifications. This class is for beginners to learn the fundamentals together. A great way to get started, and to find workout partners as well. In addition to learning the basic reformer sequence, other commonly used Pilates equipment will be introduced; mat work, wunda chair, barrel, dumbbells, magic circle, and others. No prerequisites, this is not a Semi-Private.

Private Lessons: Private lessons are terrific for beginners, experienced students, and those in need of rehabilitation. There is one instructor and one student. Private lessons offer personalized training specific to your needs and goals, at your own pace. Beginners will make rapid progress learning the Pilates exercises on the Reformer, Cadillac and other equipment. Experienced students will grow their repertoire of exercises, increase cardio workout, and benefit from meticulous attention to form, alignment and transitions.
